DAY NURSERY PROGRAM

Free play and planned activities are organized by the teachers. Our various activities help develop the children physically, intellectually, emotionally and socially, as well as caring for their physical needs. The children learn through “hands on” activities such as songs, rhymes, music, stories, creative play, water play and physical play. The more a child does, the more he learns! We also offer outdoor play. Outdoor play is very important for young children for it allows them to follow their natural curiosity and explore the world around them. In our own private, well-equiped garden the children can encounter nature with flowers, trees and herbs in a safe environment. In addition we have a good assortment of outdoor equipment whereby the children can move freely.

OUR DAILY PROGRAM

8am to 9am pre school care

9am to 10am Free play supervised by our qualified nursery school teachers

10am to 11.30am During this period we offer a snack of fresh fruit. We also offer the children various games with different learning objectives, such as the sounds of the English language and general language skills. The children will use books, songs and videos along with toys in the various playrooms and our garden; all of these activities will promote their physical and psychologicall well-being.

Lunch: This is served between 11.30 and 12.00. It is prepared on the nursery premises, following the menu indicated by our pediatrician. A snack of fresh fruit is served in the morning and afternoon. Bottled mineral water is always available to the children.

Rest Period: The rest period is after lunch. The length of time depends on each individual child. After the rest period the program of activities resumes until 4pm.

1.30pm to 4pm After the rest period the various group activities resume

4pm to 5pm After school care

5pm to 6pm English lessons; we offer a one hour English laboratory once a week for children aged 3 and up. Contact the school for more information.

The nursery has a friendly atmosphere and is efficiently run. It is functional and light with separate rooms for various activities. There are two main classrooms that are well equiped with art materials and toys, a gym with a soft area for physical play, a separate dining room and a well equiped bathroom with a changing table.

Each child will have their own file to keep the parents informed on the child’s development. An end of stay report will be compiled and given to the parents when the child leaves the nursery.
